Mbus Flashing Cables / solution


hi
im very happy with my GENIE device , but for now i dont succes for flashing any phone with Fbus cables .

with usb and phone working all ok satisfed , but with Mbus nothing i have all the time same error .

plz tel me why i got this with usb connection sometimes when phone is dead or blinking :

i connected VPP from adapter but nothing ,same error .

im using latest phoenix update and latest flsh file too .
i trayed with the 4 postion of the adapteur and nothing , same cable succes flashing with MT or Jaf .

yes bro with all bb5 Mbus flashing
but with dct4 np flashing is ok

you mean mbus or fbus?

ps. check the resistor switcher on adaptor.

I flash a lot of bb5 phones with this greate device, but i used for it always fbus cable with vpp support.

open your cable and check the amout of resistors ...
there shoud be only one 68k Ohm.

How about trying it on another Window XP SP2? Try to use oriignal window xp.

i need confirmation plz
if i use cables from jaf box with vpp ity should work ?

It's depends on the correct resistor too. Try on the attachment to check on your fbus connection.

1. Uart test menu

This is basically the old phone check script that tries to read the phone SW
version via FBUS command. It will test only phone power, RX and TX.

2. Flash test menu

This test will boot a BB5 (not DCT4!) phone in flash mode and will read bootrom
information and will display it on the screen.
The test is good to detect problems with phone/battery connection. It will
be good sign that phone power, BSI, MBUS, RX and TX are connected

3. Pin test menu

This is the most advanced mode, but requires some technical skills + correct
pin out for the tested phone model. The mode will allow you to select the
level of each line as high or low (3.3 V, 0 V). So by using a multimeter or
a LED you can test for any disconnected lines.

Please do not use mode 3 with a phone connected !!!
