The new files will prevent that the Device get damaged during the firmware update. the files are also right now uploaded to the update server and will be availible tomorrow through the update client as well. regards, |

Member: 1879 Status: Offline Sonork: 100.28016 Thanks Meter: 941 | yes, because you have now probably the latest firmware(OS) installed, but not the latest sd-card content(sd card content must match os version). use update-client and reload the files to the sd-card. (need to make that tomorrow because right now new contents are beeing uploaded to the server) |

Member: 1024 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5,510 | Hi, Some notes on the new drivers. Some devices died because of bad format on some cards. Even windows can read the files properly, Genie had problem correctly handling those type of cards. The new drivers will give audible success/fail warning (same as bb5notp.exe). So if you have such a card and get the long, low pitch beep - this means the device can not be updated. Please plug the card to the PC, back up the contents to the Desktop, format then put the files back. Best format would be XP SP2 or SP3. As far as i know Windows 7 format will not work. Then put the card back and try again. This should cover standalone update (any older version to 0.186) and usb online update. Success is high pitch short sound, and after restart your device has latest version (the one in osimg.sef). BR, Alex B-phreaks |
