Problem with N95 unlock - GSM-Forum

Hi,

We would have never advertised this as a feature, if it is not working. I can
see from your log that everything works, except the last step, where the
phone is rebooted.

Possible reason is that the phone boots too slowly into flash mode, or wrong
resistor in the cable makes it unable to 'talk' via FBUS.

Like you say phone too slow boot can you fix this in next version

I have the same problem as you, i will other cable to.

@ Bph&co, if possible, can I contact you to talk about other problem I have with my Genie, eveytime when i try to do someting with ac-adapter connected to genie, I get errors all the time, but not if i do the same thing without it?

yes there is getting errors while connecting charger when doing unlock.. w/o charger work fine .. need voltage corrections in adaptor again?

Hi,

Little update on the N95 unlock problems. There are 2 type of errors:

1. Upload SP lock error. This is caused by slow booting. We already have
new version of the application, right now testing with few guys, to see the
result. Probably will upload later on today

2. Backup security error - this could be caused from low power supply (phone
and Genie will blink together) or because of charging while using the bb5notp.exe

To prevent first problem you can use other suppy - fully charged battery or
USB only power. For the charging problem will be a fix - new OS version for
Genie, but this probably in few days.

We have improved the N-95 unlocking
Currently i am uploading the applications on the server.
Later on when all is uploaded, i will post announcement.
