Rebel SIm 2 problems

Hi all

Hope everyone is doing good. Bit of info first then problem at the bottom. I have just purchased a rebel sim 2 package from the official site. Received it two days ago. Got the compact programmer to go with it.

I have downloaded the firmware (v1.3) and rebel config tool from the official website too. I have installed the tool and installed the compact programmer using the windows update drivers. This is all installed on windows xp home 32bit machine. Clean build with nothing running on it.

The compact reader is recognised as a USB token device and USB Token holder in device manager. When i load up the tool the device is recognised in the software as FT SCR2000 0.

The problem i have is when i insert my rebel sim 2 it does not recognise it in the tool. I believe it is ment to display a message like "standard card in reader". Also when the card is inserted into the reader the light on the programmer goes from solid green to solid yellow.

If i upload a firmware to it, it completes in under a second which should take longer.

Can anyone help?

I am a bit gutted i have spent money on this product and cant even get it to work out of the box.
