need some answers from support team plz

hi
after searching and reading ..... and testing ....
few things i cant understand please answer them.

i have unlocked today 3 phones . E51 ,E63 ,N96

first of all , i used jaf cables directly to box , unlock np ...
tested with the yellow adapter ... no conection to box , on any phone !! ???answer plz , why ?

anyhow , e51 unlocked direct with jaf cable , first try code calc.
e63 direct jaf cable to box (adapter not work) tried 3 time code calc but got some error , tested 4th time press no for calc , phone unlocked with patch np.

after this tries and all i read about bad imei if i not use adapter and so , i have tested the "problematic" N96 , as it always give me error on check and error on reading RPL from phone , and in jaf read full rpl np , so i backup all with jaf , and went to try unlock ....
unlock with calc first try direct with jaf cable ....

so whats i dont understand is ... what is the adapter good for ? and how can i test if its working ?

why APE reading stage not working (tested n96 , n95 and n73)

The yellow adapter is essential to use the tx2 line.
The actual version of software doesn't need any more the sx4 bypass during the unlock so the certificates are not written any more and the imei 123456 is a problem of the past until you don't Thick SX4 bypass.
You will need the TX2 adapter workinf for the flashing operations so, if it is faulty, fix it or ask your reseller to replace it as the box has 6 months warranty.

N73 is a bb5 so need the tx2 adapter it explanes the imei 123456..
the wiring is like an extension only 2 pins are swooped
the pin 2 ftom the plug go to the pin 8 of the socket
the pin 8 from the plug goes to the pin 2 of the socket.
Just check it.
About the ape error is with the newest mobiles like N96, n95-8gb 5800 etc caused by the power problem.. the box can't give enough power to the mobile and you get the APE error.. a tool like TMA adapter or any solution for the power problem (There is an interesting thread in this forum title "local mode final solution") will sort out this error.

hi
i have checked the adapter , it does have those 2 wires linked like you said , all other wires goes 1 by 1
but maybe its the other way around ?
here is how i hold the adapter and checked ,let me know if thats corect direction as my adapter not working.
and i did ordered the TMA adapter , if i use it ? should i still use the original cyclon adapter ?

It is right.. it is how it should be then did you test the lines with a multimeter?..
the socket is well fitted on the PCB?

if you have not an MT-Box too I can tell you how to modify the 10 pin Side of your TMA adapter to use it to skip the TX2 adapter.

Are you interested in this modify?

Modify TMA 10 pin side as Cyclone TX2 adapter (By Fretburner)

Report the post and the images relate from the Fretburner original post
(I think it is a superbe idea for who hasn't a MT-Box)

If you do this modify you must work in this mode:
8 pin connected to the box for DCT4 mobiles
10 pin connected to the box for BB5 mobiles
