Question about N96 v.30.101 - GSM-Forum

Moulnisky-bro,can I ask you something?

Im trying to downgrade N96 v.30.101 to 30.033 couse of one language inside,but Cyclone tells me that :

Code:

Backup simlock thread finished, continuing...
Applying downgrade patch...
Apply downgrade patch failed -> Failed to write patched PM 308
Failed to Process all Image files -> Aborted by user due to failed downgrade patch

So is Cyclone protecting me from killing the set(protected field 308)or something else is happening?

Exact.. he is protecting you
This mobile has the PM308 write protected and the downgrade patch can't be applied.
You can downgrade it anyway without "DOWNGRADE THICKED" but on this model means loosing the superdongle (You can rebuild it enyway)

So I can make it anyway without fear of losing anything?Just downgrade it and then repair superdongle?

Yes.. won't be harmles at all once the superdongle extraction will work as well on these firmwares.
