hi mxkey,i face like this problem second time,there for i ask you the method .
how to backup -restor contect to same phone.

my problem that i face is as below;
backup contect befor flash the phone(5130) (service-phone setting-user setting-backup)
after succsesful flash i restore vcard to same phone(5130) that i flash .and when i open names folder it say EMPTY.i check memiry status ,there is sow 35% memory.

i face this problem also in 6300 befor sometime .
now please guide me where i am wrong.........................................

better to backup your data through nokia pcsuite

thnks for replay but now i do not do as you say because pcsuit also detect phonbook folder empty (though memory stetus is 35% in mobile)

go this tab Content management[phonebook,e.t.c]
click open file
check Files of type-here you select your file format.
open your file.then you can see hidden tab.

i do as you say, se my steps below:

i open the softwere
then go to open file
select vcard from mxkey backup folder
then softwere display the three buttons
1.view phonebook
2.dysplay file
3.save vcard to pmfile format

now please tell me how to write this contect to mobile(5130)

click view phonebook
save phonebook to file, it save in text format.
