Does flashing mean your phone will be unlocked or not? - GSM-Forum

I flashed n78 and it was unlocked but when i tried 3110c it wasnt unlocked so i had to unlock it after i flashed the phone

it doesnt means that if you flash some nokia phone it will auto relock or unlock (both)...
it will be unlocked if you unlock the phone by proper unlocking procedure...

flashing bb5 phone doesnt make your phone locked (network),

if this about phone lock then simple make full factory default.

By flashing nokia phones cant unlock(network lock)
By flashing you can unlock user lock code(security password)
By simple method you can factory reset for user code unlock.
