A doubt on SL simlock (ANSWERED) - GSM-Forum

Now everybody is behind SL3 and brute force .i think there would be too many people who still dont understand the terminology of brute force, cryptology,decryption,and of course wht hash and md means.

my question is tht wht was the technology behind SL1,SL2,dct4.encryption and how did the box people over come this and found the solution.
