How to repair dead mxbox hti box - GSM-Forum

Hello all.

My suddenly died, it worked and i finished using it
next few minutes i plugged in again no sign of life,
dead, no usb noise, no led just dead yet when i felt box with tongue there was power supplied. When i touched the mcu with tongue, usb said device not recognized, after silver dried, no more usb message.

Box is cheap but before can go to where i will buy, is there there a way to modify or make it work?

Btw the box is v4

hi,
what the cause? just sudden dead?
v4 should still under warranty. too bad you void it.

check usb cable, check mini usb port, check chip voltage on the whole power line.

sir did you update the box?
give a details what happen so we can help you.

no sir, it was working with good quality dits usb cable, i removed to use cable for other job, i put back no sign of power, but there is 5.xx voltage in chip.

no led, just dead...

yes i void it coz i never planned to return as seller is a good friend and it's affordable,,, it has also made it's money back to me but just that i need to do some jobs before the day i can get to P.O.S to buy another

could it be the dead mcu? there is no led atall

first, resolder MCU, second, check crystal clock.
