I´m telling that you are wrong when you slip Europe gsm to usa gsm , because Gsm it´s GSM only frequency change, Gsm it´s very old and it´s not used only in Mobile phone. I´m old but i don´t no all things , No human knows everything, because you do not know where you come from and where you go when you die, This is a Simple rule of life
now let me tell you something

the user come here with problem i replied him and i was and i am correct 110% , they told phone has Dual-band EGSM 900/1800, GSM 850/1900 also its GSM who told you i was slip from EUR to USA , i am asking same what i have told just a look on my 1st post

Code:
you need to convert phone to GSM 850 / 1900 - US version

then will work
i think you don`t use your eyes properly . GSM mean which phone support SIM card , but doesn't mean each phone support all type of band , just read what i have shown you why people need to convert phone which come from USA to be work in ASIA / EUR .

you are not understanding what i type in 1st post and i am stand here from start .

i know not all people knows all , but what i know i know not just typing from Nokia sites like you .

Just make simple search on forum about frequency change and you will know what this mean .

to be continued

Mister Nokall you are wrong and mister GsmFreaks is right.

Existing gsm frecuency bands are

850Mhz
900Mhz
1800Mhz
1900Mhz

Then Dual-band GSM 900/1800 or GSM 850/1900

Then Tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 or GSM 850/1800/1900

Then Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 = All bands.

Then 2330 from vodafone Portugal is dual-band 900/1800 but carriers in Canada work on 850/1900 then no signal never.. Only way is bandchange method for phone, change some filters and write PM from 2330 GSM 850/1900 phone.

UFF..

No i´m not argue only to argue boss
Of course I understand, Nobody is born taught I do not know everything and you do not know everything
I´m not telling that you are wrong , i´m telling only that GSM it´s the same in Europe and US only frequency change.
In some country´s have 220v and others 110v
It´s same thing AC in Europe and AC in US it´s always an AC, only rectification change from 220v to 110v.

Do you understand my point of view now?

Nowhere on that Nokia page states that the 2330 is quad band. The comma between Dual-band EGSM 900/1800, GSM 850/1900 means one is for NA and one for the rest of the world. You have to do your homework before you take those "quad band phones" on a trip
