I think it is like a USB port because some USB port could not supply proper power and when we insert a device it consumes so much power and sometime box get smashed so this injector has been designed.

if that error caused by POWER LOST immediately upon 'loading jvm' ,
USB Injector aka USB Power Manager is the solution. Newer BlackBerry devices are 'eat' more current compare to the older devices.
