So you will reach about 1400M hashes/s for 1 5870 - so if you have 2 of them, you have time of one 5970... - and 4870x2 just get about 5-600M hashes/s... - so i think, if you calculate one code with all graphicscards together your max time will be about 2,5 days - 3 days...
It depends on overclocking...
But don't forget - you will have a high electrical bill - 1 phone in our country with 3 PCs omg 2 days... i think with those graphic cards about 5€

With this PC-Configuration SL3 Local Brutforce Process wit all salts wil finished after 8 days and 11 hours max. for 5870 GPU.
If you Lucky can be finished from some howers to 1-2 days.

HD4870X2 is nott good GPU for SL3 Brutforce Process.

what are these crap stories about electrical bill ???
do you make any difference about watts on 12V (which gfx card uses),
and final power needed at 220V ?

to satisfy your noobish brain with needed info (and other idiots, too),
we'll consider this setup :

cpu - Core i7 965 (3.2GHz)
mobo - Gigabyte EX58-UD5 (X58 Express)
ram - 6GB OCZ DDR3-1333
hdd - Western Digital Raptor 150GB
gfx - ATi 5970 dual gpu card, generic manufacturer (one piece)
os - Windows 7 Ultimate x64

at peak usage whole system eats ~400W of power,
measured at 220V power outlet

which gives you simple calculation ... the same as 4 LIGHT BULBS,
working 24h, each day, 30/31 days in month.
i dunno if at your country electricity is so much expensive,
but every possible country, thats less than 5 euros per month

if you add another 5970 at same pc, power consumption will rise
to around 600 watts also measured at 220V power outlet.

so ... maybe there where you live, electricity is more expensive
than blood ... or the noobism is the problem ?

let's calculate another thing ...

one pc with 2x5970, can make up to 20 phones a month,
which leads to an earnings around 270-360 euros @ 18 euros per phone,
or ... 330-500 euros @ 22-25 euros per phone

you can choose what you want ... do for peanuts, or
doint that for MONEY and have enough earns to repay electric bills (which are really FUNNY)

very good ...

i get 78 seconds per salt at same gpu speed, but on ATi 5850.

consider buying another one 5870, identical as first one,
that will make really good speed.
(1% of total 9999 hases per ONE hour), this setup gives
around 1% per 2 hours.
