Question Successfully Unlocked Nokia 1208, but I have no signal?? Please help!

Hi

I successfully unlocked Nokia 1208 RH-105 v5.06, but I have no signal. My customer said that he brought the phone from China. He wants to use it here in Argentina. Here's my log:

Quote:
Phone Type: RH-105
SW Version: V 5.06 12-01-08 RH-105 (c) NMP
Imei plain: xxxxx802428624-1
Product Code: 0549935
Cellular System: GSM
ASIC ID: 0x2292, type: 11
Ppm Id: QA
Language Pack:
- not available.

Imei net: xxxxx802428624
Version: SIMLOCK SERVER
Provider: ALL Operator, Country: -
Counter: 0/3, 0/10

CONFIG_DATA: 0010100000000000
PROFILE_BITS: 000000000001000B

BLOCK 1: 1.OPEN 2.OPEN 3.OPEN 4.OPEN 5.OPEN
BLOCK 2: 1.OPEN 2.OPEN 3.OPEN 4.OPEN 5.OPEN
BLOCK 3: 1.OPEN 2.OPEN 3.OPEN 4.OPEN 5.OPEN
BLOCK 4: 1.OPEN 2.OPEN 3.OPEN 4.OPEN 5.OPEN
BLOCK 5: 1.OPEN 2.OPEN 3.OPEN 4.OPEN 5.OPEN
BLOCK 6: 1.OPEN 2.OPEN 3.OPEN 4.OPEN 5.OPEN
BLOCK 7: 1.OPEN 2.OPEN 3.OPEN 4.OPEN 5.OPEN

As you might see, when the sim is inserted, there is no "failed to register" or similar message. And the little antenna at the top left screen appears, but I have no signal!!

Any ideas?

Thank you

edit: I think the reason that I can't have signal, is because this phone is "GSM 900 / 1800", and here in Argentina we use "GSM 850/1900". Could that be the reason?

Is there a way to convert from "GSM 900 / 1800" to "GSM 850/1900"?

Thank you!

Thank you!
Ask Nokia to do it for you in their factory, or buy a new phone what support GSM 850/1900.

No other way,

BR,
Manole

You may try by changing filters used.

Not sure about that but is worth a try.
