you can even apply new IMEI by generating a brand new MP0B_001 file. Download their IMEI generation program imei_mtk6516.zip, use the correct executable (PC, Linux, ARM provided) to generate a new MP0B_001 like this:

Hi, My Phone is a Mini G22 Mtk 6573 and it came with invalid IMEI and also without root. So I can't change the IMEI because I have no root. Ive tried everything, from z4root, to superoneclick, to gingerbreak and simply can't gt root on this phone.

How do I do it???
