3 Branded Z800i, all options disabled.

Tried to connect a Z800 CID36 and it does boot but I don't get any options, everything is disabled. How should I continue to unlock the phone? Also, can anyone explain to a newbie why you want to convert from red to brown and vice versa.

Thanks,
Zoo

OTP CID36 phones have to be connected via testpoint solution or EMMA service card. If you connect using EMMA card unlocking features will be disabled.

I don't use EMMA. I understood from previous discussions that Cruiser at some point should ask me to connect the TP, but it doesn't. The only thing I can do is "Attach to phone", when done attaching the only thing possible is "Detach phone"

Hello,

Cruiser doesn't recognize your phone typ. Select phonetype manually and then attach the phone...

Yea, Do as sven.soltermann is saying.

I had to do the same, manually choose Z800i and then it works like a charm... Only have to be steady on your fingers when connecting TP to ground and using for example your nails when opening the phone as described earlier.

Yes, manually selecting Z800i will be needed since the TAC list is not updated. You should also send Lead the first several (8 or so) digits from your IMEI and the details found on the label of your phone. The type listed there will most likely end in BV.

Then he can use that to later update the TAC list.

First 6 digits of IMEI will do.
"355991" will be included in the following version.

I'm slowly getting the hang of it now.... But opening the Z800, what a nightmare! Couldn't take apart the lower part without disassembling the upper part.

Do you pros need to disassemble the entire phone to access the TP?

yes ...u have to be very carefull while openning the Z800.

i did like that..
after temoving the screws..i used a very thin plastic knive to dissassembe the upper cover of keybord (the black circle should deattach from each other )
be carefull for attachments from keys to board.
be careful for the two metal lines also.

sorry difficult for me to find english words for describing how to do
