Member: 42570 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 11 | How To Flash a P900 With Fighter Yea, the gsmbb site seems to have gone away. I hope it's back soon, it's a wealth of good information. Anyway, I'll post what to do instead First! Read the Fighter documentation under Language Packs for the P900. It's got great information in the footnotes which will help clarify the steps for you. All files referenced here are available from the Fighter Support area under the "P90x/P900 pR3C006 sR4A06 cR4A04 bR5D" folder, which is the latest firmware at the time of posting. Steps: Attach to phone part (Select Standard in "Phone to be attached") and flash the R3C006 firmware onto it using "Flash AVR". Detach the phone, pull the battery out and put it back in (don't turn the phone on) Now select "P80x/P90x (PDA-part)" and attach to phone again. You'll now get two options under the "Write Flash" tab, Flash PDA and Flash ARM. Select "Flash PDA" and then flash the phone with R4A06 Symbian part1 Select "Flash PDA" and then flash the phone with R4A06 Symbian part2 Select "Flash PDA" and then flash the phone with CDA/ROLF R4A04 (pick the language pack you want, read the Fighter docs for which file is which) Select "Flash PDA" and then flash the phone with CDA/USERDATA R4A04 (pick the langauge pack again) !!!!THIS STEP WILL ERASE ALL USERDATA!!!! Select "Flash ARM" and then flash the phone with Bluetooth R5D Pull the battery and put it back in again, power up the phone! This has worked for me before with a P900. Mostly though for trouble free operation I'd recommend using the Official P900 Online Update Service, that way if it breaks you can blame SonyEricsson instead! Note: These steps also work for the P800, but BE SURE to use the P800 firmware files. Also, the P800 CDA files aren't split into two, so flashing CDA will erase all userdata. Member: 42570 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 11 | @Hakika: I don't think there is any firmware for the P900 that disables flashing of the phone. It probably exists but I don't think SE has released it. I did a phone upgrade 3 days ago via the online update, and I was still able to attach to it (both Phone Part and PDA part) without any problems. |
