Member: 1841 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 469 | Beware of New Firmwares! These firmwares, once uploaded to the phone, disable the possibility to boot the phone using bypass method or even using the original smartcard method by activating a special, previously hidden feature of the AVR ASIC 5B080201. This feature simply allows the firmware to disable the challenge-response authentication booting method and switches the ASIC to accept RSA1024-signed applets only. Fortunately, there is a (rather complicated) way to reactivate the old bypass method. Support for simple way of flashing phones with the new firmwares will be added within 2 weeks, and the support for simple decustomization within one month or later. Regards, Lead. |

It's going to be altered firmwares that we won't be able to use, because once you edit a firmware you're not going to have the private key to sign it again. Correct me if I'm wrong btw. |
