Red CID49 W550/W600 IMEI change procedure (more complicated variant)

Note A: Unlocking RSA overwrites the first 128 or 256 KBytes of firmware.
Note B: To attach the phone use Ctrl-A key combination.
  1. Attach (phone should be red CID49)
  2. Security RSA -> Unlock RSA, then remove battery when prompted to do so.
  3. Reattach and flash main FW. (RSA will be relocked)
  4. Turn off and reattach.
  5. Unlock RSA again, remove battery when prompted to do so.
  6. Reattach.
  7. IMEI -> Disable OTP check
  8. Flash raw FS (not the main FW part).
  9. Customize FS.
  10. Turn off phone.
  11. Reattach.
  12. IMEI -> Write GDFS IMEI
  13. Reattach
  14. Flash the corresponding firmware restore file (for example R4BA041_CXC1250031_GENERIC_EL.cw55sw)
  15. Turn off phone.

Hi

The "firmware restore file" can be download from the support site and put back to the "Firmware restore file folder" ?

Do I need to use the same one as original in the phone ?

tks
