Could not unlock CS applet... - GSM-Forum

hi
i have got two handsets, a w550 and a k700i and on both of them i am getting this error on customization
it always hangs on "initializing cs applet"....
and then it stops with this error
Could not unlock CS applet...
has anybody got an idea to solve this problem

The first things that pops up in my mind when hearing this is:

Are the battery fully charged?
Are external 3VDC power good (fresh batteries)?
Have you tried lowering flash speed?
What version of Cruiser was used? For some it helps downgrading from 9.74 to 9.66.

If none of the above helps, try using external power 9VDC, but please keep in mind that using 9VDC will shorten life of flash chip, so use sparsely.

check the files u r using to flash ur phone

yes the external batteries r fresh out a packet, even phone battery is fully charged
i am using 9.74 and will try also 9.66

I ALSO TRIED WITH DIFFERENT FILES BUT STILL FAILING TO CUSTOMIZE

What CID is it? Do you really need to unlock RSA on a K700?
Normally K700 is a certificate change to brown, and then you can manipulate the phone.
