Cruiser and DB2020 - GSM-Forum

Hi everyone

I having a bit of trouble understanding whether or not cruiser is okay at servicing DB2020 SE phones. So I have a few questions for you guys.

1. Cruiser claims permant unlock of DB2020 phones. Is that correct ? I understand that reading codes does not work but apparently direct unlock works correct. Is this a permanent unlock solution.

2. CID 52 isn't supported for unlocking I know. How about flashing ? Is it possible to flash CID 52 phones with cruiser ?

3. I connected a K610 CID52 phone to cruiser using DCU-60 cable just to identify which CID was in the phone. Now the phone is dead a only flashes read on top when trying to switch on the phone. Any ideas how to fix this ? Is it normal that a DB2020 phones dies when conecting it with cruiser ?

4. Finale question: To the users who use both Cruiser and SE Tool (I have both). Which box should I use to service DB2020 phones ?

Looking forward to your answers guys. And please don't just write Cruiser is the best og SE-Tool is the best. Please give me some honest and justifiable answers.

unlock is not permement, its patched same as Setool. (dont use codes)

You can Flash cid52 phones with cruiser.

How you killed a phone by just attaching is beyond me, should not happen.

which is better tool, that is down to you, i always flash useing cruiser ,,all my 2020 based models, and i have never had any problems...

Cruiser has killed Lot of phone by read codes.

Even the 06ID Support CID52 Mate.

Havnt killed phone by Attaching, try to repair EROM

Dont have SE Tool Mate cannot compare between the 2.

Thanks for the answers guys. I guess we will have to wait and see which tool supports CID52 first.

Regarding question3: This is very embarrising. The phones battery was simply empty. So cruiser had absolutely nothing to do with my dead K610. Is was simply my own stupidity. Pure and simple...

Remember:
When red led is blinking means 2 things (or 3):
Battery low,
EROM damaged, or
Flash IC damaged.
