Hi m8.
Easy Fix this one.
Had the same problem couple of weeks ago and fixed it 100%.

you need to email Cruiser Team explaining the error and also you need to read your Dongle Card ID and let them have it, after a couple of days you will get a new activation code to enter and you box login will be fixed.

You generate new cardid by going to settings -> licensing tab

ONLY Read Dongle ONCE as If you do it again another time after you have told mizar the code the required code will change and it will be different and not work..

You don't need to play with activation! First check the driver of cable you using. You should delete and install driver correctly.

Its not normally the driver thats the problem with the box logon fail error, because if the driver isn't installed properly you won't be able to select a com port in cruiser to get the actual box login fail error if you know what I mean...

When cruiser has come up against a problem with the dongle i.e. lost the activation status it will still find it but will fail the security check/activation status.. thus Box login Fail. whereas if the drivers are not installed correctly you won't be able to get as far as Box login fail error.

But of course Hopefully ami236 has checked his cruiser drivers to rule out any other problems..

Read in Cruiser User' Guide :

Quote:
To change Cruiser SmartCard parameters an activation key has to be sent to the card. This key is calculated from the actual card ID and the parameters specified. A new card ID is generated on every Read card ID button (1) click. Moreover, the card ID is invalidated by the card automatically after the key is entered to the card. This means the key is valid only once, what strenghtens SmartCard security against unauthorized parameter manipulation. Of course, by entering an invalid key or a key that has been already used with this card before, the card automatically locks itself (the number of allowed simultaneous phone connections is reset to zero) and Cruiser Control Window will display a message "Box login failed!".

BR.,

Denis

The activation procedure should look like this:

· Be sure to have Cruiser SmartCard connected to your PC.

· Press the Read card ID button (1) once. The actual card ID will be displayed in the box above (2).
