@Invisible

Nice mod, doing it right now I had already changed the 74HC405 since my cable after nearly 1.5 years of hard work gave up the spirit hehe

Thanks for this mod

Regards

Hi Invisible,

Great work, but is possible to get a better picture where to get the 3.3v? becouse i conect my cable to USB and with i multimeter i try to find the 3.3v near that zone you put in picture but im just having 5.5v...
near the small smd with reference "93c46" i have 3 resistors one with 222 and 2 with 270.
Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Red USB cable is giving 5.0V, but I hope it could be used too.

Great stuff guys, it works great. By the way, can this be attempted with the dss-25 sync station now that fighter supports it? i think i will have a little play around.

It is not necessary to do it with DSS-25.

When I was using a DSS-25 it seemed that all options in any order were available! I just assumed this might be a bug with the DSS code though, but obviously not!
Sorry for my lack of faith

It's 3pm here and I'm about to go out for a few beers myself! It's a nice sunny afternoon in Auckland, just perfect for sitting outside having a beer watching the world go by!

I haven't done the conversion, no. I opened up my Fighter Cable today and looked at all the black goop in there and thought "this is just too hard"
I'm going to get myself a couple more DSS-25's and just use those I think, they're easy to use and have a nice flashy light as well!

@Invisible: Thanks for posting your howto.
