Member: 42570 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 11 | 1) In the Primary Tab make sure that Phone to be attached: option selected says Standard (wait). 2) Download this file (and unrar it) 3) Click on Attach to phone. Go to the Flash Tab. Clilck on Flash AVR. Find the file you downloaded and flash it to the phone. Go back to the Primary Tab and click on Detach phone. 4) Remove the battery and reinsert it. 5) Where it says Phone to be attached change it from Standard (wait) to P80x/P90x (PDA-part) This step is important! Click on Attach to phone. Fighter/Cruiser will attach quickly because the PDA part isn't protected by RSA/Boot Method protection. 6) Download (and unrar) The Symbian File. Go to the Flash Tab and click on Flash PDA. Select the Symbian file and flash it to the phone. 7) Download (and unrar) one of these files. I usually use the East EMEA file. Go to the Flash Tab and click on Flash PDA. Select the file you downloaded and flash it to the phone. 8) Go to the Primary Tab and click on Detach phone. Power on the phone and enjoy your new P910. Optional: 9) Buy 12 beers and ship them express to Muppet in New Zealand! Note: If you get Invalid Final Response message read this post |

It's one of those things though, some people want "something for nothing" and are willing to have P910 firmware on their P900. If I owned a P900 I wouldn't do it, I'd rather have the memory and working BT

Member: 162939 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thank you. Thank you Muppet for your help. I really appreciate it. I have some questions. For example, if flashing is not going well, will I be able to convert it back to P900 firmware? Is there any downside flashing back to P900 firmware after flashing P910 firmware? Are the steps the same as flashing to p910? One last question, and the most important. Is it worth flashing to p910? Will I be able to intall all apps, any language like I do with p900? For you information, I don't use bluetooth headset. I only use bluetooth to transfer data between my p900 and pc. I need bigger memory for mp3. Thank you. |

The steps are just the same, except you flash the P900 files instead of the P910u files. Is it worth it? That's up to you. Try it and see, if you don't like it, flash it back.

Member: 42570 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 11 | Yes, it requires a copy of either Fighter (no longer available to buy except second hand) or Cruiser. You'd be better off looking on esato.com for places to do it, esato.com is a place for "end users" such as yourself. |

Member: 175919 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Thanks, whats the cost on Cruiser? Ive done flashing on many of the older Nokia phones but not done anything for a year or two, wouldnt mind getting back into it though. *** Found the price on the link in your post, will look for a flashing service to get my p900 done, thanks for the info. *** Last edited by goodwin; 09-13-2005 at 09:39.
