Member: 43802 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 36 | How to get Cruiser up and Running ? My Questions What is the official site of Cruiser ? Do I need to register to get login and Password ?. Assume it has a dongle Serial number reader. Does cruiser needs to be activated ? Where Do I get drivers ? I have got 8 CD's with the package. Where do I start ?. There should be a sticky with onle a single post that details all you need. With all the responses the post gets confusing and meaningless. |

Member: 42570 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 11 | Hi Tical, To answer your questions: 1)The offical Cruiser homepage is here. Anything you read about other sites is no longer valid, this is the website! 1a) The Cruiser support site is here. You don't need to register, the username and password is "cruiser" (without the quotes) 2) Depending on who you bought it from, it might need to be activated from a Trial Card to the full version. This is most often the case if you upgraded from Fighter to Cruiser. If you just purchased Cruiser, you shouldn't need to do this. I wouldn't bother with installing Cruiser from your CD's, they won't have the latest version. 3) Everything you need to get up and running is included in the latest Cruiser 3.20 installer. It install the Cruiser Binary, Cruiser Help and cable/smartcard drivers. Make sure you use this installer and not one on your CD, I suspect your CDs are out of date (though they will have loads of flash files, saving you the download!) 4) Start with downloading the Cruiser Help File, it has heaps of detail about installing etc. Read it first, then download Cruiser 3.20 installer and go nuts! I don't think there should be a sticky post, I think your reseller has let you down by not at least pointing you in the right direction. Hopefully this post will help you. Contact me on ICQ/MSN if you get stuck. |

Member: 43802 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 36 | Thanks for the helpfull information. this information should be a sticky to prevent the next Cruiser Newbie from asking the same questions. I have installed Cruiser 3.0 installer downloaded from my reseller's site (I-phone), they do not have the 3.2 installer up as yet. It installed without any problems and I tested with 2 phones T306 and T200 and it read the code sucessfully. Aditional questions. Do I have to uninstall previous version of Cruiser to install the newer version?. Can the codes be read from RSA protected phones and then entered (don't have any to test yet, so I want to know the procedure before. Also if it need to be flashed then I would probably use a server solution The new LG (8120 V101 ) been proving to be a B I T C H to unlock, I understand that cruiser can read these codes ? |

Member: 42570 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 11 | The link I posted had the 3.2 installer, please use that! 3.2 has a number of excellent improvements that you'll find quite handy. In answer to you addition questions: 1) No, you don't. Run the Cruiser 3.20 installer and tick only the "Cruiser" option (first one) and you'll be upgraded straight away. 2) Yes, they can. However with Cruiser 3.x direct unlock is available for all ARM RSA proteted phones, so you don't have to read codes anymore. Attach to the phone, then go to the Locks menu. Instead of picking "Read Codes" just click "Direct unlock" and you'll be done. 3) I can't comment on LG phones, we don't have them in New Zealand and I haven't had any experience with them. Anyone? |

Member: 42570 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 11 | @ber747: Before you start talking such crap, why don't you take a minute to read the manual and understand what you're actually doing? There's nothing wrong with Cruiser's direct unlock for new ARM based phones. Here's a hint in case you missed it, P910i's ARE NOT ARM based. Please read this then you'll be much better off. In case it's really confusing, where I say "Fighter" in that post, you can put the word "Cruiser" instead. |
