Try removing battery and putting it back while pressing power button.
If the red phone LED is shining, you must charge the battery before unlocking RSA.

Hello.
Did you try Leads first suggestion?:

"Try removing battery and putting it back while pressing power button"

I tried this on a K700i and it did work after a few attempts.

"Try removing battery and putting it back while pressing the power button" - use this for almost empty battery.

"Try removing battery, putting it back and then pressing the power button" - use this for a fully charged battery.

In my internal Cruiser version, I've fixed this issue which is directly related to the problem mentioned above:
  • Occasionally the phone does not send an acknowledge on shutdown. This is now handled.

Hello,
I had to do some k500i phones a week ago and had the same problem. I had about 5 phones that v.2.10 could not unlock the RSA of. So I tried with v 1.00 and it worked fine with all those 5 phones. I dont know what the deal is there but i guess there is some difference in the RSA unlocking implementation in v1.00 and 2.10.(don`t forget you have to reflash after unlocking RSA with 1.00). Try it, it may work.
Regards

I am playing with a K700 but I can't unlock it. I could unlock the RSA and flash the phone but at the unlocking procedure I got Defeating RSA protection... and so on...

Connecting via Fighter USB Cable...
Activating phone...
Baudrate = 460800Bd
Secure bootloader ID: 80 00 03 01
Trying Red CID29 flash applet...
Sending applet prologue...
Sending applet body...
Time spent entering bootstrap: 2s
Initializing phone hardware...
Phone CID = 29
Phone hardware initialized OK
Analyzing configuration...
Analyzing RSA protection...
RSA protection is weak.
RSA protection weakness type: PERMANENT

And when I click on Read codes:

Defeating RSA protection...
Should the communication hang, reinsert battery.
Baudrate = 460800Bd
Defeating RSA protection...
Defeating RSA protection...
and so on...

I tried to remove battery/switch on the phone but it doesn't help.
