K750-W800i upgrade gone wrong - why?

This is what I did

Attach
Unlock RSA
Direct Unlock
Turn off
Replace battery
Attach
Unlock RSA
Flash FS (tried W800i EMEA2 FS Brown - works as used before)
Customise FS (EMEA2 selected)
Turn off phone
Replace battery
Attach
Flash FW (W800i EU1 Brows - works as used before with above FS)
Turn Off
Replace battery

Now, when I start it's strange. The phone powers on, and lights up as normal, then it goes black for a split second (linke normal), vibrates then all lights up ... what usually happens is I see "please wait" on the screen ... but this one stays white!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Have you converted the phone certificate back to red ?
Which CID is the phone ?

Best regards

might be "shutdown file system"

so, try flashing FS (EMEA2) again, Customize and then Shutdown FS...

Haven't used or read Cruiser/forum for a while.

(not on NET and haven't got a phone )

(nothing to do with Cruiser though )

Still not working and tried what both of you said ...

The phone is K750i CID 49 (red) and the flashed W800i CID 36 (brown)

Could it be the 36/49 that is confusing things, if so how do I change as I only get option for brown or red CID 49 ???

Any help appreciated

Well if it is a CID 49. Have your remembered to Restore the Firmware when you've unlocked the RSA ?

You didn't write it on your list. So unlock RSA and restore. Then flash the phone as specified in the cruiser help file.
Cruiser should take care of necessary conversions between CID 36/49 automaticly.

Best regards

I didn't:

So you mean:

unlock RSA
Restore firmware
flash FS
customise FS
write FW

??

ATTACH PHONE,
UNLOCK RSA,
DIRECT UNLOCK
ATTACH AGAIN
FLASH FS WITH CID49 FLASH FILE.
CUSTOMISE
SHUTDOWN
ATTACH AGAIN
FLASH MAIN AT 115200 SPEED
TURN OFF

PHONE SHUD BE ALL WORKING OK. IF NOT THEN REPEAT STEPS BUT AFTER YOUR TURN OFF AT THE END, ATTACH AGAIN, UNLOCK RSA, DIRECT UNLOCK, ATTACH AND RESTORE FIRMWARE.

ALSO MAKE SURE USE SAME COLOUR CID AS CID49 ARE A NIGHTMERE AND DONT LIKE RED OR BROWN MIXED. EXAMPLE. IF ITS RED GET RED CID 49 FOR GOTH MAIN AND FS FLASHES. IF NO JOY STILL JUS FLASH PHONE BACK TO ORIGNAL SOFTWARE AND WAIT FOR UPDATE FROM CRUISER FOR CORRECTING CID49 PHONES.

IM STILL WAITING FOR THE CID49 K800 UNLOCK

I do not have CID49 for K750 or (preferably) W800 so flashing with Brown 36

Will this be OK?

If not, where do I get CID 49 from, can't see on Cruiser FTP ... thanks

hello, i read somewhere that u can't downgrade the cid, but can only upgrade. if this is true, then, cid36 can be made cid49 and not vice versa and therefore, this may be your prob. Am not sure though; maybe somebody who has more experience can confirm & elaborate.

thks

Your problem is that you are using old firmware. You need new firmware wich has new display drivers since your k750 has new LCD version (with yellow/brown flatcable).....
