K750i Booting fails - no color and certificate inside the phone?!

Hi,

i got a dead K750i from a customer these days which have a strange behaviour. I always tried different baudrates and also other flash tools than cruiser to revive the phone - but without success.

The customer told me that the phone have gone to hell from one day to the other. So the phone can`t be started. There is not even the "famous" white screen I`ve often seen on damaged new ARM phones like K750.

BTT:
If I attach the phone to cruiser using normal boot mode the following appears:

Code:
Connecting via UC-10 Universal Cable...
Powering on the phone...
Baseband chip ID: 0x8040
Protocol version: 3.1
Baudrate = 460800Bd
Phone color: None
Flash certificate: -
All threads terminated.

Of course I`ve always tried to recover the phone - but without success.

Maybe this is a hardware fault i think.
Will be TP worth a try in this situation?

I fixed many K750i in the past and i never had a K750i which such a strange fault.

Additional Information:

Due to production date of the phone (29W05) I`m sure it have to be OTP CID36.

Many thanks for any help in advance!

This usually indicates flat battery.

@Lead:
thx for reply.
i already tried two batteries which wer both fully charged. So I don`t think that problem is related to battery.

@zigma300: Thanks for this hint. I will try this tomorrow I think. I`ve alrady tried to attach the phone using setool. It would be surprising if just connecting to UFS would fix that issue.

Normal boot, any cid, use TP.
- same case here on W550i, solved only via TP method.

I think, flash IC damaged.

Because I burn flash iC on the K750 (using 12V extrnal VPP by mistake). Before phone boots very good, after that - same like your K750..

This may indicate damaged EROM area!
Try repairing the phone via testpoint method.
If it is an old phone, try converting it to brown first.

plz guid me. and by the way I did search to find the TP, but seems to be hard to get claer pic of TP on k750!!!

thanx in advance.

@herbie ma

Repair erom as suggested, then try to repair certificate again, full flash. this must fix ur problem.

But if you still can't attach the phone normally, then there's no way you can repair erom via cruiser. Try to use other SEMC tools, you do that for sure.

Obviously gachero is not joking. With only 2 posts he's probably not aware that he must post on the right sections. Now I think he knows now.
