Need help unlocking W600 - new to Cruiser - GSM-Forum

HI !

I want to unlock W600 phone using Cruiser. I am new to using cruiser and new to the concept of RED and BROWN certificates. Can someone please tell me what do I need to do (if possible step by step) to unlock this phone. Can I just use UC-10 cable to unlock this phone?

download the latest vergion
download restore installer

remove rsa
convert to brwon
unlock the ohone
do restor
now phone unlock

Hi ! Thanks for your response. Have few more questions.

1. What do you mean by 'do restore'.
2. I thought Cruiser automatically defeats RSA without clicking on "remove RSA". Please confirm.
3. Do I need to convert back to RED after performing Direct Unlock?
4. Can I use UC-10 USB cable?

yes you can use uc10 cable the procedure depend of the cid in the phone i suggest you to go to the website and download the manual is very good there is all the procedures to all phones. once yu are in there dont forget to download latest cruiser and latest restore files

you need only this steps

1 attach phone
2 unlock rsa
3 attach again
4 direct unlock
5 atach again
5 restore firmware

done thats all.

This was posted by lead:

Unlock RSA and firmware restoral are necessary for RED CID49 phones that cannot be converted to BROWN only.

So first try and convert to brown, if that works no need to unlock rsa.

If you have any problems post your log, also if things go wrong dont just start pushing things in cruiser come back and ask for sure someone can help.

i do only like this
attach phone then unlcok Rsa then attach then restore firmware then dirct unlock and all the time fine

there is no need to convert it brown or red

phones with certificate under red 36 unlock rsa and direct unlock
phones with red 36 convert first to brown 36 then unlock
phones with red 37 (k608) for exemple convert it to brown 37 first then repair erom and direct unlock
with red cid 49 procedures are differents
in most cases it's more necessairy to unlock rsa then restore main fs
and direct unlock

When I restore the firmware, do I need to restore full firmware (ARM/AVR) or just restore the RSA part only??
