i have cruiser v11.04
when i open up cruiser it reads the box and the s/n ok
them within 30 secs it drops the connection and says
no box connected.
can you help

you can try putting the cruiser dongle and smartcard next to each other.

mouse keyboard

Usb1 Usb2
| | <<<<<<<Smartcard at 1 and dongle at 2.

if it dosent work try reinstalling cruiser etc
I think i had the same problem when trying to use cruiser at the start

No need to Worry,
Just restart the PC,and then connect the box, all will be OK.

try to uninstall other dongle like usb smart if u have it's just driver problem good luck

Go to Device Manager Check/Update your Drivers Mate.

amazing over 5 days ago @hollyann asks the forum for help, his cruiser not working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! users give possible help, yes 5days later @hollyann cannot be bothered to say its working or not !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why ?????

i think it's a driver problem, reinstall it and try again, good luck!

---From cruiser user guide---
Login as an user with administrative rights.

· If possible, install the latest Windows XP Service Pack and then restart the computer.

· Under Start | Run successively type in and confirm with OK button the following two commands:

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\scardssp.dll

(You should receive a message that the DLL server was registered successfully)

scardsvr reinstall

· Locate the scard_xp.reg file and then doubleclick on it. The registry will be updated.

DO NOT DO THIS UNDER WINDOWS 2000!

You may find the scard_xp.reg file in the "c:\Program Files\Cruiser\SmartCard Diagnostic Tool" folder.

· Have a look in Start | Settings | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services and locate the entry Smart Card. Check its current status. If it should not be started, try to start it (click right mouse button, and press Start).

· Independently of whether the service can be started or not change the startup type from Manual to Automatic.

· Restart the computer.

Please remove any other Smart card enabled dongles from your pc, then just unplug and plug again your cruiser. 100% solution. I faced many time.

in settings try manual put in authentication each e-gate until you find the correct one that works for me since i have several box connected at once
