Thanks for the new K750 FW R1N005 and W800 FW

Thanks Lead!

Now i have a K750 with W800 FW! GREAT! I like it!

Only one question:
Do you know why the flash takes about 20 minute for the main FW und 10 minutes for the FS?

Coyote: What cable are you using and at what speed?

The reason the main FW takes longer than the FS is because the FW is about ~13megs and the FS is only ~8Megs, it takes a longer time because it's got to send more data.

Hi muppet,

i'm using the 4in1 cable from teleway. My question was not the difference between the two files. I wondered about the duration! With the same cable and the same settings the main flash of a K750 takes about 5 minutes and the FS about 2 minutes. Now the same K750 with the W800 Files took sooo long!

I've tested flashing raw FS only (EMEA2) and it took 2:54.

There is a possibility you have some flash voltage problem... VPPFLASH voltage should be between 2.8V and 3.6V.

W800:
  • 'Mobile Walkman' - button connected to the media player.
  • Music mode (same as flight mode).
  • Different media player (better) than K750.
  • Possibility to connect to external equipment such as hi-fi or car stereo.
  • Event calendar (maybe K750 has this too).

Wow - and no losses?

Btw, is R1N005 brand new? Even newer than R1L002?

thanks Lead! i have converted my k750i with w800. i have a question though, can i return it back to k750i by simply flashing it with k750i firmware?

also, does anyone have a usb driver of the w800? coz when i attached my converted w800 to my computer, it asked for a driver. i tried using the driver of my k750i but it didn't work.

regards,
Ven0m

Ven0m: You should be able to flash it back with no problem, it's just like changing firmware's normally.

As for the W800 USB Driver, No Clue sorry!

Does anyone have the drivers? Can we change product name back to K750i, and then use the K750i driver?

Hehe... Sony-Ericsson obviously don't like that we convert K750i to W800i. I just got a mail from SE where they tell me to stop offering the upgrade. If not, they will consider to take legal steps against my company.
