Trying to unlock LG U8120 - Need help pls

I have a LG U8120 and have connected it to PC using Cruiser 6.05

First of all I flashed the firmware using "flash ARM" - I used version U8120_V105_UK.flp.

Now I want to unlock. If I put an orange SIM in it says "USIM Locked"

So I try reading codes as normal, it tells me to use the sequence 2945#*88110# to enter codes. I try this with an orange SIM (phone locked to 3) and no SIM and I do not get a menu.

Also the "unlock by patching" button on cruiser does not work.

Do I need a 3 SIM card in there or am I doing something wrong?

You need to flash U8120_drive_c_v101_Brown17.flp to enable 2945#*88110# entering code sequence. There was no need to flash U8120_V105_UK.flp

Now I'm confused - will the sequence not work with a 3 SIM card then ???
