Member: 11604 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | Unlocking K300i red CID36 method! -1- Open up your phone -2- Remove the shield form baseband part -3- Connect small wire to TP (as in picture) insulated wire!!! -4- Put your phone together (without the metal shield and front caseing) -5- Start Cruiser and attach phone -6- Go to "unlocking" tab and select "read codes" button -7- Wait for soft prompt for connecting the TP -8- Do it (connect TP tp GND) -9- Disconect the TP when told by the soft to do so DO NOT convert your phone to brown and DO NOT cut the test point!!! Flash files for K300i will follow soon, so be careful!!! Last edited by DeDaMrAz; 06-03-2005 at 23:45. |

Member: 21920 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | This is a very useful tutorial Thank you. I am curious here, but did you solder the wire to the TP or attach it some other way? I would say it would be easier to use our old T610 cables with the battery clip and testpoint needle, no? And, finally, how about TPs for other phones? Member: 11604 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | Well i attached TP with a very small (.0015 mm thick) wire and connected it to GND and it all went quite smooth. But you can always use old TP methods as long as you prefer them And for the TP pictures you will have to ask Lead because he is the one who releases them. regards. P.S. I assume that other phones will have similar methods of TP connection. |

Member: 21920 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | You can find ground around the edge of the metal cover. I hope Cruiser testpoint cables with a VBAT alligator and GND needle will come from China soon.... hint to factories |

Member: 21920 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | I can't see why those cables won't work. I don't have one though for Cruiser though I hope you're right about not needing TP, and I trust Lead, but this might take a while. For him to release this solution, he must have felt it would be a significant amount of time until he could relase another solution. |

Member: 26751 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Ok... Maybe you are right... but I don't think Lead will let other box ahead for too much time... as he said, TP will be neede in future CID releases but they will be supported faster... so I think older CIDS w/o TP will be always implemented fast... Anyway, let's wait what Lead will bring to us ;-) Cruiser was the 1st with CID36. No matter about TPs Regards, |

Member: 73743 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | I bet Lead has plenty of reasons for doing what he is doing. Maybe i am foolish - but i trust Lead 100% in terms of Cruiser and i am sre there is always a reason behind his actions |

Member: 21920 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | I agree, but I think in this case, testpoints should be avoided from more than a laziness perspective. SE already expected this and covered many testpoints with glue. Z800 has proven difficult to open without damage. I hope for an update without TP soon |
