v600i freeze after covert to k600i - GSM-Forum

Hello Cruiser support team,

I converted my v600i to k600i using the standard procedure mentioned in the CID36 FAQ, now the phone boots fine, but after one minute into the system it will freeze, only thing can do is to remove the battery.

Phone type is RED36, now converted to brown36.
Flash ID: 0x890D Tried flash several times but no luck. Firmware used is R2j005 download from support section.

Pls HELP AT EARLIEST CONVENIENCE!!!

R2J005 Firmware is not very stable

The best is wait for the update from Lead

It is interesting that i put in SIM this morning and it works fine. Maybe the flash file system gets too hot after several flash and needs cool down??? no idea.

Hi i had same problem with my v600i
After flash with k600i using cruiser soft R2j005
It hang on every function
Any idea??

So LEAD please help us and find some solution
Maybe other flash file in support
Or I have to buy some other device for SE like MT-Box or USBSmart
Maybe t solve my problem and some other in future

it only happens on about 5% of v600's when you convert them to a k600i,(there is a thread about it in tms section). I have only had one with this problem but it is easily fixed by used a different flash file, in my case i used r2k from setool.

So if you had the badluck to have one of these phones in your hands, you have 2 choices....

1.- Go to your Provider and request a dupe simcard with latest 64Kb and voltage technologies which exclusive supports R2J005

2.- Upgrade or Downgrade your phone only to R2F015 firmware... and your old simcard will work ok with your new phone and this firmware.

cruiser don´t have this flash in suporte

yes, correct. i have cruiser/usb smart and setool, on setool site there is firmware r2k which fixes the problem. on cruiser there is only r2j.

also the problem only happens when using a 3g sim, with a 2g sim it was ok.
this is only my experience with v600i (vodafone) and k608i (uk 3), converting both to k600i all from the UK.
