V800 language packs - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I need to flash a V800 and I need to keep it with Portuguese language... Do you know what language pack should I use?

My customer is claiming his V800 does not play his MP3 files... I am not sure but I think it has something related about copyright... may I be correct? How can I solve this?

It could very well be copyright related. Might be worth it to send an unprotected mp3 via bluetooth the phone for tests. Mine plays all unprotected mp3s 100% with EU1 firmware/EU9 FS R1J....

In order to enable the MP3 you will have to flash it with EU1 firmware & EU9 FS R1J like evan_silbert said. I have done many of them already.

As an aside, since this thread is about V800 language packs,

@Lead and Mizar
Are there any new flashes for this phone on EMMA? I have heard that there are now unbranded phones floating around (including regular SE icons and no Live! button)...

To convert the V802 to most decustomized V800, is it necessary to flash the Generic Customization file (V800 generic.cc10) after Main (R1J) SW and Raw FS (EU9).

Yes, there is a phone that was flashed by me this way in my pocket.

It is my understanding that SETool can now fully unbrand a V800 using Z800 firmware.

Yes, it works very well for fimware that is still in development, and knew firmware is out for it to with many more languages, for Standalone users of course

Logger users are in trouble now, for the time being

Surprising news considering the phone is not released yet. (not that it's any different)

2005-02-17
Many new z800 flash files version R1X016 now avalaible in our Support area. This brand new firmware is available only for standalone version of setool.

that R1X firmware is not full retail version, but cruiser does need to catch up, maybe with new version we will see some nice surprises, I have been using Setool Standalon alot recently more than cruiser, i hope this next version will get me back cruising
