Usualluly these problems are a cause of bad software.
Maybe you need to flash your phones with a different sw
but i think for now is dangerous to do that with cruiser because it
needs test point and from other posts and personal experience the
phones are killed when flashing fs file (stop at 42%).

I think is because you opened the phone and you didn't connected well the FLEX cable for camera. I had exactly the same problem with my K750i but after open it again and check flex cable. Now pictures are saved without any problems.

Just check again camera flex cable. Deconnect and connect again WELL.

This is how i fixed my problem.

How can you say it needs TP? Not all W550 requires TP. It depends on the EROM in the phone. The early ones will work without TP, and some of the later will also. Trying is the only way to know, without inside information about the phone/EEROM.

Have you tried to do a master reset "reset all" off phone?

Try and see if it will help.

Master reset won't help solution is that you just make 1 folder for camera, look into working w550i and you will know what folder is missing just make a folder with the missing one and your camera works fine, solved by me and 100% working no need to flash or do any HW or SW but remember don't do master reset coz. yo have to create folder again.
