W550i - CID49 - Need to remove RSA. - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I need to remove RSA in this phone (W550i CID49).

Basically a customer brought the phone in for Water Damaged repair.

We have done the water damage procedure and reflowed the board etc.

Phone powers on but didnt get network to start with - we fully flashed the whole phone etc and the phone still wouldnt get reception - we then checked IMEI on handset - it comes up 000000-00-0000000, but in cruiser it does display the real IMEI - this is strange.

So to fix this fault we need to rebuild IMEI... please lead help us out.

you cant do it even if you change certificate?

Nope - gives the message "Remove RSA first"

I take it there is no way around this then.
