W600i 5 and 0 keys not working - GSM-Forum

I revived a w600i via flashing however now the 0 and 5 keys don't work. I changed the keypad circuitry but same problem. Can this be a software issue?
Does anyone have a possible solution?

most sure is Keypad IC is damaged this IC is near the keypad conector

Hi,
could also be a software problem. Try this from cruiser manual, has worked for me once or twice.

Repair Keypad not Working Problem

·Attach the phone.
·Go to the GDFS page.
·Choose Apply Language Lock patch from the Modify GDFS options list and then press the Modify GDFS button.

Thanks i sloved the problem by applying a full flash GDFS, Main and FS, don't know which one really solved it but its working now.

Hi, I have a similar problem with my w600i. I had a "unplugged USB cable to early" problem. (wouldn't start all the way and all files were gone.) After flashing with older firmware (not the exact ones needed) the phone worked again. Everything except the 2-5-6-7-9 keys. No sounds nothing from those 5 keys. A visual dis-assembled inspection checked out ok. I haven't flashed with the proper firmware. (can't find it free) and I read that flashing the GDFS with anything other then the phones original will kill the phone completely. I guess my question is what GDSF did you use and do you know of a place I can get the right firmware I need? Which is I believe;
W600_R7CA017_MAIN_GENERIC_EE_RED49 or,
W600_R7CA017_MAIN_ROGERS-CINGULAR-LAM_1_RED49 and;

W600_R7CA017_FS_CINGULAR_RED49 08-22-2007
W600_R7CA017_FS_AMERICA_1_RED49 08-22-2007 and;

CDA102453/17 022706
I cannot find them though except to pay for them which is tough do to no money. Someone did say they would donate the money for them but I feel bad about it. Anyway I am also looking for a replacement keypad for it. Not the rubber numbers part but the main hardware;
"Sonyericsson W550 W600 W600i PCB keypad board Keyboard"

So I am open to suggestions so I can get this working all the way around. Thank you!
