W900i R5AG 3g /2g selection

Dear all

got a W900i today, unlocked and debranded to R5AG (great cruiser tool!!)

customers came back saying the 2g / 3g selection function disappears...and it says it's so so important to him... he moaned here and insisted that function exists in the generic firmware ... (annoyed, but as promised to him, I posted a message here as there are many experts here)

Thanks for your advice

Cruiser has an option to enable/disable this. Attach to the phone and go to the GDFS tab, in the pulldown menu I think the option is there.

I am surprised.
Make a GDFS backup via read ARM first.

Go to the GDFS page,
choose Enable GSM/3G selection menu from the Modify GDFS options list and then press the Modify GDFS button.

Tell me whether it works or not.

Muppet and Lead

you too are both correct!!

I used 8.11 to unlock & debrand the phone, and I don't have the 2g/3g selection..

Then I used the 9.21, the gsm/3g s function appears and it works like LEAD says

customer is happy now! (thx for saving my life)

Lesson: always use the latest version of software

In previous versions, the 2G/3G selection menu was enabled automatically.
Apparently it doesn't work for W900 R5AG001 and therefore it has to be enabled manually.
