Can we do experiment Here?

Hey friends i found a new thing here...

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/8066439-post1.html

And this is useful because Karwos (cyclone product manager) said the following things...

No need to explain.
Such thing like "flash malfunction" do not exits.
NXP guys wouldn;t be track ****y 642 mcu's
The truth is they most probably forget to set flash lock bit during programming
So buying boxes and reading hex straight is still good option

so can we read the hex programmed in microcontroller of mxbox directly and make our own mxbox..because if it wouldnt worth then why mr. karwos want the damaged box for 200$?? its my opinion. plz reply on this topic.

if anyone have any idea to read or decode box programmed firmware then plz share here.

Another Basics before start programming and reversing cellphones :

You should have good knowledge of USB and Serial Communications

c++,delphi,java,c# ,phyton usb interface code
A good place to visit is: Beyondlogic
Plenty of information on Serial and USB interfacing.

You can download Borland C++ free from Code Central. This is a RAD IDE which makes it easy to program in Windows.
You interface to serial and usb through windows drivers. There are plenty of free serial and usb components on the net that work with Turbo C++. Delphi components will also work.

1.) Languages like Python,C#,Java ( in that order ) are easier to learn than C/C++. They all can access Serial Ports
Python - pyserial
Java - rxtx RXTX: The Prescription for Transmission
C# - build in

2.) Direct access to USB from user-space(not driver) program is possible via libusb or some propriatery API( several available). DON't recommend it if not absolutely necessary.
If you need USB support, better use some USB-Serial chip like FT232 or PL2302. This chip allready has drivers for most OS-es and can be accessed like a serial port.

In short use python and ft232. That way you can focus on the application.

Thumbs up Most the boxes developed based on original tools

For educational purpose only

Most the boxes developed based on original tools, almost all the functions
can be done with original tools
But it is only applicable for proffessionals
Smart developers analyse and make it smarter and simple
so we welcome smart developers

we will post some original tools and explain the functions

Eg: lets start with chinese phones or alcatel

Alcatel 90% is MTK based phones

1. Flashing ( Mtk Tools ) with this tools u will be able to flash all mtk phones ,If you have access then you all firmwares as well
2. Unlock off cource this orginal tools not supported but if have high level access yes this also can get ( a method to make imei code calculator for this you only need firmwares ,just anlayse the firmwares it has all )

Regards
DITS

Thanks for info:
Let me know something. As we can see every flasher tool in current gsm market have been reversed from original flash tool.
Example: mxkey, best, atf from PHONEIX or NOKIACARE SUITE
Dragon, spiderman, from MTK ORIGINAL FLASH TOOL
Samsung tols from Multiloader,OG Downloaders,etc

so, its clear that flashing technology developed from their vendor Original tools, BUT what about UNLOCKING where these OG tools dont offer them?

what sorts of techniques are currently used to bypass the mobile security by unlockin them?

I request u to plz post some more tutorials on logic & process used in unlocking phones with one good example.

Best regards
Rabi
