I think New V-series cables will be spacial cable from Dits in which we can change resistors valve in same cable for to get test mode and local mode
it will not need another hardware or tool to change resistores valves

Maybe its by mixed pinouts... like two header rj45 rj48 + be able to cross lines, something like pinout finder

A Idea become in my mind.A Good cable must have these Qualites...
1-7 pin cable (jaf/ufs/ub)
2-10 pin cable (MT)
3-extra power for getting test mode/local mode if sum fone need extra power (it can solve if use usb to com function add like when all my fbus cable are failed to n95 8gb get in local mode i use extra usb type cable put ton95 8gb and localmode come easily)or extra usb cable for usb conectivity
4-cables can use universal interface too like UNibox/infinitybox/multi box caz then we can use it as a interface for flashing or reading DATA if flash chip even dead (as infinity mention)
5-UNi pins add like universal cables.just can change pins

may be its universal cable with built in voltage regulating system for new bb5 phones which cant stay on local mode due to the low voltage of box
