If you have an over temperature , it is a feature better than not enough temp.
well , no problem try on a scrap board , clean it well becuse dust and oxides insulates heat in and out .
adjust the air flow level according to the nozell diameter .
adjust the heat to just below propper degree , and let the machein works for 2 min to gain the desired temp level.
apply heat to sellected component , after the heat accumulates onboard the tin will melt ( if you see a change in color of components use lower temp level untill you reach the desired calibrage level ) , also increase it if it doesnt melt after some good time .
Notice that : old solder need's more time to melt , and heat sinking is different from point to point on the board , finally use flux .

Nice bit of advice, but on this occassion not really relevent. He has a Sunko 850 which he has burnt out and he wants to know what the value is of those two components. One is a transistor and he believes the other is a resistor.

@daos I have a Sunko 850c but the board is different to yours so I cannot see what you are referring to in relation to mine, maybe the the "c" as 850c makes a difference. Maybe if you can tell me board component number ie R2 or TR1 they might be similar I can then tell you what mine are.

I've just open my own SUNKKO 850, and maybe I can help you.

The transistor is label as: MAC97A6

MAC97A6 pdf, MAC97A6 description, MAC97A6 datasheets, MAC97A6 view ::: ALLDATASHEET :::

The resistor is 1k Ohms 1%.
