please need an help in overclock my card ati 6990 dual 4 giga to 950 mh


please need an help in overclock my card ati 6990 dual 4 giga to 950 mh
i made that in my settings in catlayst control and make it 20 % more power and after that i got this message ( driver display not responding and recoverd sucsessful but the caculating is stop so how to do that i have
pro cor i7 3.7 cash 8 mb
8 giga ram king stone
power supply 1200 w
case thermaltalk
ati 6990 dual 4 giga
windows 7 32 bit also i tried on 64 bit
KK BOX
very good van for my cpu also i put it
i need an help please

high MHz OC need voltage gain too for GPU cores, it will produce more heat, so first what U need for high OC is waterblock on UR card. Do U have waterblock or stock cooler?
ps. max what I get was 900MHz on standard cooling and without touch voltage.
will find any article about OC 6990 for U
Aha, one thing, U do not need to OC memory in UR card, just memory must be a bit more clocked than GPU. So for 950MHz GPU , memory can be 1000MHz. Some users successfully OC their cards(5970) to 950Mhz and 400Mhz memory and works, but this need test first, before run final bruteforce. Lowering memory OC helps to decrease temps drastically

No is not ok to overclock with stock fans to overclock need use water colling system no stock fan. Or think little and do better quality colling system with air.

this fan what i have

Thermaltake CPU cooler fan supports 200w
heat pips x 5
16 dBA noise
12 cm vr fan x 2
and case thermaltake and powers supply 1200 w
what i need can you post an link for this cooler
also my temperature using catalyst control center is 70 c is this good or bad
