Tutorial: How to Auto-Detect the CPU type of handset using UCT Fusion Software

UCT Fusion can automatically detect the CPU type inside the handset. This operation is very useful when you are not sure which CPU does the handset have. Most of the handsets in market are either MTK or SpreadTrum based. These are even distributed in handsets with COM connectivity or USB connectivity, this is why we suggest you to try to connect the handset in Auto or USB method.

Steps to Auto-Detect CPU Type with UCT Box:

Connect the handset to UCT Box and open the latest version of Fusion software.
Press Scan in the side bar.
Select Auto and press Chip Sense
Depending on handset, in sometime UCT Fusion will show you the CPU details with the connectivity pinouts.

Note: In case of failure or no response for long time, you can try select USB and try again to sense the chip

Same mobile MTK mode ok

MTK system user guide:
Second definition and scan is for dual CPU phones
Please hold on the phone ON key when you are doing the "2nd Definition scan".
3.Please verify the phone type before running the flash program.
4.Please notice any help information after your clicking any key.
It is sensing the definition fast,please hold on the phone key!......
RXD = 1, TXD = 3, VCC = 4, GND = NC
>>>Sense succeed! Elapsed time: 1s.

If its ok in MTK mode, then u no more need to scan it,, just open UCT main software, select MTK and start servicing your handset, simple.

Yes, UCT supports MStar,, Just use the UCT Tool v1.21 and select MStar.
