Dell streak update problem - GSM-Forum

Dell streak baseband 1.6 version. i try to update it with 2.1 or 2.2,
this phone rogers operator, many time i try but not success, when i
put flash file name (update.pkg) on memory card & try to flash press
volume up & down button with power, then phone show
SOFTWARE UPGRADE VIA UPDATE.PKG ON SD CARD
then i press camera button and phone only show blank screen not show any update proceduer, many time i try change many file but problem same,

any one help me...................

Do a full wipe then try again.

Dada i try it many time but nathing happen..............

download this file
Download r1-4399-streak-recovery.zip for free on Filesonic.com
Put your phone in fast boot mode
unzip the file & double click on install-recovery-windows.bat
after install reboot the handset
and try updating using PKG file

i am facing same problem did u manage to solve it .. i need to update it so i can unlock wth frurious.

it is recovery problem...flash stock recovery than try....

i did flash stock recovery ... from diffrent sites.. atlest 10 times i even tried cwm through adb but nothing changis the same stock recovery remains there and does not allow me flash any update.

like the link subrata gave u, most of the updates require specific recoveries so use anb update with it recovery.
