Thumbs up HTC Nexus One How To Unlock Bootloder And Write Rom.

1st Bootloder Unlock.
The bootloader of Nexus One supports a command, which when given via fastboot, lets you to unlock it. After unlocking, you can flash any custom ROM on your device. Here are the steps:
1. Download fastboot (includes Windows, Mac, Linux versions) and extract it.
2. Run command prompt, go to the directory where you extracted the zip file.
3. On Windows type ‘fastboot-windows oem unlock’. On a Mac, type ‘./fastboot-mac oem unlock’. If your machine is Linux, type ‘./fastboot-linux oem unlock’.
That’s it. Your device’s bootloader is now unlocked. Now you can go ahead and root Nexus One on Android 2.1.

Note: Unlocking the bootloader on your phone using fastboot gives you the freedom to install any custom cooked ROM. However fastboot deletes all your personal data (similar to a factory ‘data reset’) in order to prevent any unauthorized access to it.

2nd Root You HTC Nexus.
1. Download Superboot.zip file for your version of Nexus One ( check the device ‘About’ screen to find which superboot version you need to download). Or you could download an insecure boot file if you want to manually deploy su and superuser.apk).

Download links for Superboot
Superboot for EPF21B
Superboot for EPE54B
Superboot for EPE76
Superboot for ERE36B
Superboot for ERE27
Superboot for ERD79
Download links for himem enabled Superboot images (The himem superboot includes an updated wifi driver, so in case you want to revert back your Nexus One, you need to reflash your ROM)

Superboot for EPF21B with himem enabled
Superboot for EPE76 with himem enabled
Superboot for EPE54B with himem enabled
Superboot for ERE36B with himem enabled
Superboot for ERE27 with himem enabled

Download links for insecure Superboot images
Insecure boot for EPE76
Insecure boot for EPE54B
Insecure boot for ERE36B
Insecure boot for ERE27
Insecure boot for ERD79

2. Extract the file to a directory.

3. Put your Nexus One in bootloader mode, which means you should first turn it off, remove it’s battery, plug in USB cable. When battery icon appears on screen, replace the battery. Now tap the Power button while holding the Camera key.

4. Next, follow the instructions as per your OS:

Windows

Double click on ‘install-superboot-windows.bat’ file.

Mac OS X

Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type ‘chmod +x install-superboot-mac.sh’ followed by ‘./install-superboot-mac.sh’

Linux

Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type ‘chmod +x install-superboot-linux.sh’ followed by ‘./install-superboot-linux.sh’

That’s it. You will now have full root access to your phone so you can go ahead and install any themes or custom ROMs you wish to.

3rd Custom Rom.

1.Download Custom Rom.

3. Download the custom ROM from the source link and copy it to over to the SD card on the phone.

4. Enter the recovery image (if you’re not in it already) by powering on while pressing ‘Home’.

5. Select ‘Nandroid backup’ from the menu to do a backup.

6. If you copied the custom ROM as update.zip, select ‘apply sdcard:update.zip’, else select the option below.
