A practical way to record Android 8.0 Oreo Screen

The new version of OS Android 8.0 Oreo has been released in Android market. The new features are attractive, including notifications, funny emojis, and other systematical improvements. Since it's a new OS, how to record Android 8.0 Oreo screen?

We've got ApowerMirror– An Easy-for-use Tool on PC

ApowerMirror is a screen mirroring tool that allows users to take screenshots and record phone screen on PC. You can get the recording with two clicks. Follow the simple guide below to record screen on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Step 1: Connect your Android 8.0 phone to PC. You have two ways to do this.
  • Way 1: Via USB cable. Go to “Settings” > “Developer options” > “USB debugging”, turn on USB debugging. Launch ApowerMirror on your computer. After a while, your phone will be connected to PC successfully.
  • Way 2: Via WiFi. Launch ApowerMirror app on your Android 8.0 phone. Tap the mirror button on the bottom part of it to search for devices. Select the computer name beginning with “Apowersoft”, and then your phone will be connected to that PC wirelessly.
  • Once the connection is done, tap on “START NOW” on your phone to allow this app to capture your screen.

Step 2: Click on the record button on the right guiding tool bars of the program, then it will start to record your Android screen.

Step 3: Click the same button to stop recording once you finished.

The recording will be saved to the default folder automatically. Afterwards, you can click to open folder to check it.

Thanks for your kind sharing. Some of my friends also recommend me to use another Android recorder, but actually the built-in screen recorder of my phone is enough for me. I myself prefer to use a desktop program called Joyoshare VidiKit as a screen recorder. It would be much more convenient for me to do screen recording on computer. I can record screen in HD with no lag and no watermark.
