Member: 1177924 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 56 | Riff Box can repair dead boot of this phone. I managed to brick two of these phones (both didnt have download mode, so I used Android SDK & both phones died!) Only problem is it's a very fiddley task trying to solder the wires to the board. I wish someone would bring out a jig! |

you just have to brush white paint, and pads are there, don't use the small tinned points of course. i9000 jtag pads are too easy, regarding to HTC G1 BR Max_B | |

Member: 540878 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 910 | 100% tested to me... since that kind of resistor is not available here i took 3 pcs of resistors (100K) from any bb5 phones...just connect all the resistors and connect every end to pin 4 and 5.... although it is 300k (not 301k) but it is enough to force in download mode another alternative is here http://test.sptbox.com/publish.htm |

Member: 865239 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Noob question :-) I have a Micro-B connector cut from a usb cable, which pin must I use? 1 = Red (VCC) 2 = White (Data -) 3 = Green (Data +) 4 = ID (Micro-B not connected) 5 = Black (GND) So if pin 4 (ID) is not connected, where do I put the resistor? If I stripped the connector, I see under: black, green and red and top: white and one that is not soldered. So it is pin 5 (black) with the one that is not soldered? Sorry for the noob question ;-) |
