SP Flash Tool is a utility software developed and used internally by Mediatek Inc which can be used to flash a Custom Recovery firmware image (as opposed to the Stock recovery firmware image) to a MTK Android device. It is also used as a way of unbricking an Android device. Though it mentions it in the developer docs for Mediatek (MTK Chips) and some docs even instruct the users to use SP Flash Tool. Some other docs on MTK reference “SDK firmware”, which presumably can be a part of the SDK alongside with SP Flash Tool. Publicly available binaries are believed to be the result of leaks. SP Tool is Windows/Linux software, Flash Tool supports any Windows OS on Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP .Also providing support for other operating systems like Linux 64 bit, though it is possible to run the executable, allowing it to run on OS X. What are the Benefits of SP Flash Tool? SP Flash Tool is a program run on a Windows PC that can load and flash firmware image files (“ROMs”) onto MTK Chip Based Android smartphones. It Can communicate with a smartphone using USB. Official Stock ROM/Custom ROM (Scatter File Based) For Your Device Model Backup your device (To Save Your Data) Latest SPFlashTool Download from above links.Compatible with Your Operating System (LINUX|Windows) Basic Steps for Operating SPFlashTool2018 Download and Install Android USB Drivers on Your Computer. In case Android Drivers are already installed on Your Computer PC then Skip this step. Switch Off Your Android Device by power button and remove its battery (if it is removable). Download the Official Stock Rom / Original Firmware that you want to flash on your Android device / Smartphone and extract it on Your Computer PC. Download and Extract SP tool latest on Your PC . Now SP_tool_Latest.exe to run the SP Flashtool (you will see in the directory you extracted). Once Sp Flashtool Launched,Select the “Download” Tab. When selected “Download” Tab Click on the Button called “Scatter-loading”. Select the “Scatter” File (you will find it in the Downloaded ROM folder) for your desired model. Now Click on the “Download” Button to start the flashing process. Connect Your device to Computer using USB data cable while holding Volume UP or Volume DOWN Button so that your device boot easily and connect to PC. Once Flashing is completed a new dialog box will appear with green Box.
