how to enter unlocking code Huawei e589u-12 lite - GSM-Forum

I couldn't find, how to unlock this router, I generated unlocking code for someone but don't have any instruction how to enter unlocking code into this router. The buyer said when he connect usb cable to computer, it is just as mass storage and no any setup like other dongle.He checked with XP and Win 7 both are same.

with web management he saying there is no option to enter code. but there is a PUK code option only.

any body know how to do?

some modems have webinterface for unlock...
but wrong simcard into the modem, connect to computer and start browser, it ask for unlock code... i mean instead of showing webpage you entered into the browser, the modem shows the unlock screen to enter it.

you also can use the manual enter unlock code funktion from 2nd huawei tab.
just check "manual enter unlock code" checkbox and fill in the calculated unlock code and press "do jobs" button..

Insert a SIM that is not normally accepted into your E589. You will see SIM Error on the E589 screen.

Connect to E589 to your computer through Wi-Fi connection and open internet explorer then type 196.168.1.1 into address bar this will allow you to
go to the modem’s service portal and it will now be asking for you to enter the unlock code. After entering the unlock code your modem it will be
permanently unlocked.
